The Issam al-Aryan scandal continues to reverberate. Al-Aryan,you will remember, is the senior Muslim Brotherhood official who was forced to resign over his remarks that Jews in Israel expelled by Nasser should return to Egypt, while Palestinians took their place. Whatever al-Aryan’s motives, at least he had acknowledged that Jews had been expelled – a fact now being denied by the Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, according to the Algemeiner.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas claimed yesterday that no Jews
were expelled from Egypt under the rule of President Gamal Abdel Nasser,
. Publicly disagreeing with Essam El-Erian, deputy head of
the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party, who in December called
for the Jews expelled by Nasser to return to Egypt, Abbas claimed that
the Jews left Egypt “willingly” and “as a result of Zionist

In 1956, the Egyptian Ministry of Religion issued
a decree stating that “All Jews are Zionists and enemies of the state.”
Around 25,000 Jews were expelled from Egypt that year, and by the 21st

Abbas said that any talk about Jews having “a right to obtain
compensation” is not true. He also criticized Arab countries for not

situation,” according to Abbas.

Erian’s comments were not popular in Egypt. He resigned, allegedlybecause he was “occupied with other work.”

  • Shimon Peres recently said in the NYTimes that abu mazen was an "excellent" "peace partner" for Israel. Well, he's getting on to 90 years of age and they say No fool like an old fool. They also say of some men that their old age shames their youth.

Besides being an effort to undermine the policies of PM Netanyahu, this statement is very foolish.

  • My sunday was going very well until i saw the picture of that khara Nasser.
